Michters 10yr Rye Whiskey 70clOne of Michter's most limited production items, the 10 Year Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Rye was finally given the green light for re release in April 2014 by Master Distiller Willie Pratt after a three year absence from the market. Aged in Fire Charred, new American White Oak barrels, Michters continues the legacy of Rye, Americas first Whiskey variety, in this fantastic 10 year old expression.
To create a Bourbon of the Magnitude the Pappy Van Winkle team have employed an extremely careful and expensive distilling method along with a selection of Barrels from the heart of the warehouse
including Sweet Gale harvested from the family farm
Like it's younger sister Bourbon this Old Fitzgerald release sticks to the Bottled in Bond rules but is treated to even longer aging for a minimum of 15 years

with 10% of post tax profits being donated to the project
In the flavour profile you'll come to expect lots of Full Bodied Fruitiness with Hints of Toasted Nuts in the main body which is shortly followed by Pepper Brown Spices
