The glass is hand blown and original, boasting a wonderful wave with visible bubbles. The top of the lamp lifts on a hinge to enable the replacement of a candle. The hinge opens and closes with ease. The watch is in perfect working condition and remains in an excellent condition with  only some light scratching to the rear of the dial consistent with age

The writing box does have a key which operates the lock as it should

The silver shows some wear commensurate with age

Some browning to the frontispiece and title page in both volumes

they are substantial in themselves weighing 8 grams each

The worked is housed in a tan leather frame which shows some light signs of wear commensurate with age but remains attractive

featuring flowing lines and naturalistic decorative motifs

The cork can be removed and replaced with relative ease but it is delicate
