While hanging out at the Pettway lounge (the only business of any kind in Gee's Bend) I struck up a conversation with a man who actually grew up in this particular house and gave me the history of the 12 foot room

The Pursuit Series was shot in NYC over two separate trips

This image was taken in Gee's Bend

It served as the water tower for the factory that is now Studio Plex

second and most striking to me is that he has lived most of his life living within a 10 mile radius of this stop sign

This is an old water tower at the corner of Auburn Ave and Irwin Street in the Old 4th Ward

After figuring out that I was not heading his direction I asked if I could take his photography and we parted ways

They wanted something they could show their mothers

but out of respect I changed it

This image had a completely different name
