Stamp #61 lino printThese A4 stamps came about after seeing an old news article featuring my mum back when she was in her 20's creating and selling transfer and screen prints. I make my stamps using linocut methods transferring paint from hand cut media to paper, each stamp receives its own unique colouring. On one side of the hills we would fish for barramundi and stay well away from the water cause there are huge saltwater crocodiles and on the other side of the hills

Spinifex is a type of grass covered in wax

with different roles collecting food and fishing for black bream

this goes beyond our modern interpretation of touch or emotion but a deeper connection to our country and our kinship with it

we would go hunting with our spear at high tide while walking through the water jellyfish was one of the many things we had to keep watch for
