This is from a kayaking trip I took just off from Yellow Point on Vancouver Island

I came across this mother and child splashing in the river having a great time with the new discoveries

There was not a breath of wind

The colours were almost neon

This was a scene very early in the morning as I was boating out of  Ganges   Harbour on Saltspring Island

The two sailboats are gently swaying on the calm waters and the still morning air

This is one of the few times it has been cold enough in Cowichan Bay for the water from the river actually freeze on top of the ocean
